One Way to Use a Bread Machine with a Thermostat For Roasting Coffee

Here are the photos my friend Carole  took of the Panasonic (2lb model)  bread machine with a thermostat set in the side of the housing.

She has kindly provided a description of what she did to get the thermostat out of the way so it would not stop the bread machine from moving through the entire dough cycle. Prior to moving the thermostat out of the way, it would have the crazy idea that it was just too hot in there, and shut the whole thing down

Take it away, Carole...

The first shows what it looks like. I had already unscrewed it but it is sitting right where it was attached to the side of the mixing bowl chamber. On my other Panasonic it was located more to one side. So folks will have to look for it. It is basically a U bent, insulated wire attached to a small metal plate.

The second shows what it looks like where it was attached (don't know how helpful that really is).

The third shows where I put it to get it out of the way.

On the other Panasonic (1lb) the wire was brown (not white with orange stripes). You can't go by the color. But the insulation and the small plate looked the same. The machine is upside down and I've removed the bottom cover and the shell of the bread maker. So it's laying top down on my counter. I then replaced the outside of the coffee (I mean bread) machine and put the bottom cover back on.
